Engineered for Demanding
Industrial Applications

Custom Bearing Manufacturer (CBM) is an India-based precision bearing manufacturer specialising in custom OEM and industrial bearing solutions for global markets. We engineer and manufacture bearings to exact customer specifications — covering non-standard dimensions, special materials, custom seals, and application-specific tolerances.

Our manufacturing operations are built around precision grinding, lapping, and assembly processes that deliver consistent dimensional accuracy, appropriate internal clearances, and reliable performance across diverse operating environments — from high-temperature industrial furnaces to moisture-heavy agricultural fields.

We work directly with OEM engineers, procurement teams, and technical buyers who require a manufacturing partner with genuine capability rather than standard catalogue supply.

How We Manufacture
Custom Bearings

From raw material receipt to final despatch, every CBM bearing passes through a structured manufacturing and inspection sequence designed to meet OEM dimensional and performance requirements.

01
Material Receipt & Incoming Inspection
All bearing steels — chrome steel, stainless, or special alloys — are received and verified for chemical composition, hardness, and dimensional raw-stock tolerances before entering production.
02
Ring Turning & Forming
Inner and outer rings are turned on CNC lathes to specified bore, OD, and width dimensions. For pressed and stamped components, progressive tooling is used to achieve accurate formed profiles.
03
Heat Treatment
Components are through-hardened or case-hardened to achieve specified surface hardness (typically 60–64 HRC for bearing steels) and core toughness. Controlled atmosphere furnaces prevent decarburisation.
04
Precision Grinding
OD, bore, and raceway grinding is performed on dedicated CNC grinders to achieve required roundness, surface finish (Ra), and dimensional tolerances consistent with ABEC or DIN precision classes.
05
Ball / Roller Matching & Assembly
Rolling elements are selected for size consistency and assembled into the ring sets. Cage fitting, lubrication charging, and seal press-fitting are performed under controlled conditions.
06
Final Inspection & Testing
Completed bearings are inspected for radial clearance, axial play, noise & vibration (ANDERON), dimensional accuracy, and cosmetic condition. Batch records are maintained for traceability.
07
Packaging & Export Despatch
Approved bearings are greased, sealed, tagged, and packed to customer or export specifications. VCI-protected packaging is used for corrosion prevention during international transit.

Every Bearing
Leaves Inspected

CBM's quality assurance system is built around the principle that every bearing dispatched must meet the dimensional, surface, and performance requirements it was specified to. No batch leaves without passing inspection.

Dimensional Inspection
Bore, OD, width, and raceway geometry measured against customer drawings using calibrated gauging instruments and CMM equipment.
Material & Hardness Verification
Incoming material certificates checked; hardness tested (HRC) on finished rings to confirm heat treatment compliance.
Life Testing
Representative samples from bearing families undergo accelerated life testing to validate design performance and detect any assembly or material deviations.
Noise & Vibration Testing
ANDERON or equivalent noise/vibration measurement performed to verify smooth running and detect cage, rolling element, or raceway anomalies.

Inspection Checklist

Dimensional accuracy (bore, OD, width)
Radial & axial internal clearance
Surface finish (Ra) of raceways
Hardness verification (HRC)
Noise / vibration evaluation
Seal integrity & lubrication check
Visual & cosmetic inspection
Batch traceability & records
Packing verification before despatch

Continuous improvement: CBM applies ongoing development programmes to manufacturing processes and quality systems, with investment in new measurement equipment and testing capability to keep pace with evolving OEM requirements.

Common Questions
About CBM

Technical and commercial questions we receive most frequently from OEM buyers and industrial procurement teams.

CBM manufactures clutch release bearings, linear motion bearings, rod end bearings, tensioner bearings, track roller bearings, agricultural bearings, compound bearings, steering bearings, pressed steel bearings, plastic bearings, oil-less slide bushes, unground bearings, extended inner ring bearings, collar bolts, and fully custom OEM bearing solutions. Each type is available in standard and non-standard dimensions.
Yes. CBM's primary strength is manufacturing bearings to customer-supplied drawings, 3D models, or physical samples. We can manufacture non-standard dimensions, special bore sizes, unusual cross-sections, and bespoke seal or cage configurations that standard catalogue suppliers cannot supply.
Standard chrome steel (52100 equivalent) for most industrial applications; stainless steel for corrosion-resistant applications (food, chemical, marine); case-hardened steel for specific structural requirements; polymer/PTFE materials for plastic bearings; and bronze alloys for oil-less slide bushes and plain bearings. Material selection depends on the load, speed, temperature, and environmental conditions of your application.
Yes. CBM supplies precision custom bearings to OEMs, industrial buyers, distributors, and machinery manufacturers in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Americas. All export shipments are packed to international freight standards with VCI corrosion protection where required.
Minimum order quantities vary depending on bearing type, dimensions, and complexity of manufacture. Contact us with your requirement and we will advise on feasibility and minimum quantities for your specific application. We support both prototype quantities and ongoing volume production orders.
Every batch undergoes dimensional inspection (bore, OD, width, raceway geometry), material hardness verification, radial and axial clearance measurement, surface finish checking, noise and vibration evaluation, seal integrity testing, visual inspection, and batch record documentation. Representative samples from bearing families undergo accelerated life testing. No batch is despatched without passing all relevant inspection points.
Yes. If you have a bearing that is no longer available from its original manufacturer, CBM can reverse-engineer it from a physical sample or drawing, confirm the specification, and manufacture a direct replacement. This is a common requirement from machinery service operations and older equipment owners.
